The ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Lemar Smith, has called for an investigation of the Joes Sestak – Pres. Obama connection.
Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) has made the claim that he was contacted by former President, Bill Clinton and offered an administration post if he would withdraw from the Democrat primary against GOP turncoat Arlen Spector.
Rep. Smith has contacted the FBI about beginning an investigation.
If the accusations prove to be true, then I believe this is an impeachable crime.
This sort of corruption at the highest level, is just another demonstration of why we must, as GOP members, seek to elect people to both houses of congress that can be counted on to do the right thing. We need solid conservatives like either Wade of Urquhart in the House to bring the charges , and we need solid conservatives in the Senate to honestly adjudicate the charges. We can no longer suffer the moderate waffling we have been exposed to in the past.
We cannot allow these sort of backroom deals to go unpunished. It is a crime against our democracy. It is a crime against our constitution and it is a crime against the people of this nation.
The question remains to be answered, will it be a crime that goes unpunished? Or will those involved be held accountable?
I believe that the impeachment process should be in play if for no other reason than to expose and investigate this out in the open for the people of the nation to see. Not to have it white washed in some closed investigation , by some committee or the White House’s lap dog Department of Justice.
